Elle's journey into wellness began in 2012, when a growing curiosity about the connection between nutrition and whole-body health led her to become certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University, a foundation that would eventually shape everything MERVANA™ has become.
That same devotion to whole-body wellness carried her deeper into yoga, a practice she has now called her own for over 15 years, and one she shares as a 200-hour registered yoga teacher through My Vinyasa Practice, bringing mindful movement into daily life rather than teaching it as a separate discipline.
Long before either of these pursuits, Elle spent years immersed in professional skincare, scalp care, and ingredient formulation, work that gave her the confidence to create our botanical products.
In 2025, Elle brought these threads of nourishment, movement, and self-care together as MERVANA™. 'MER, from the sea, VANA, echoing nirvana and rooted in ancient words for lush, sacred natural spaces, a symbol of peace, refuge, and paradise.
MERVANA™ reflects Elle's lifelong love of land and sea, and the deep connection to nature woven into everything we create, encouraging people to seek and find their own MERVANA.
